Warm Water Under floor heating
This type of under floor heating utilizes extremely robust temperature resistant plastic pipes which carry low temperature hot water in a network of loops through the heated floor areas. These pipes can be installed into solid floor slabs or screeds, heat transmission plates for timber-built floors or into a variety of different ’carrier’ boards for different types of floor build up.

Electric Under floor heating
This type of under floor heating utilizes sheathed heating cables which can be installed as cable coils or mat-based systems, depending on heating outputs required and eventual floor coverings to be used. These systems can go into screened floors, timber floors and in adhesive layers under tiles, etc.
Both of these systems are designed to produce a radiant-heated zone of comfortable temperature which extends from the floor to a normal ceiling height of around 8 feet. This makes them particularly energy efficient because they are not heating and circulating air into unoccupied high ceiling voids and roof spaces.
